Job Description
The Gosnell Family Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a Level IV center, the only one of its kind in the Finger Lakes Region. The unit provides highly specialized, advanced care for sick or premature newborns, including treatment for respiratory failure and heart disease.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care to sick or premature newborns in a NICU setting.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
- Monitor patient conditions and adjust care as necessary.
- Educate parents regarding their newborn's care and conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Required Experience
- Two (2) years of nursing experience, preferably in a NICU setting.
- Telemetry experience is strongly preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current RN License (New York License ONLY)
- NRP 8th edition Certification required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY) required
