3x12-hour shifts, Days (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM), every other weekend required.
Job Description
Join a new Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital equipped with bedside monitoring capabilities. The unit currently has 18 beds, and staff will coordinate with charge nurses split between stepdown and 3 West units. The unit is designed for adult and geriatric patients with common medical conditions such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, coronary artery disease, end-stage renal disease, and chronic respiratory illnesses.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data and dysrhythmias.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for medical-surgical patients.
- Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams.
- Document care and monitor patients using Epic software.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing.
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current South Carolina RN license or Compact license required prior to start.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
