4x12 Nights, 1900-0700, with every other weekend required. Floating is also required.
Job Description
This position involves providing care in a high volume Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit, primarily caring for patients with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), acute Myocardial Infarctions (MI), post-device care, and arrhythmias. The unit consists of 26 beds, and the nurse will work with a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7. The facility utilizes EPIC for charting.
Responsibilities
- Administer care to patients in a high-volume MedSurg/Telemetry setting.
- Monitor and manage patient conditions, focusing on CHF, acute MIs, and arrhythmias.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation through EPIC.
- Participate in quality improvement processes and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
Required Experience
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a MedSurg or Telemetry setting.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current New York RN license (must be in hand).
- BLS certification is required.
- NIHSS certification is required.
