Schedule/Shift

Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, requiring every other weekend and every other holiday availability.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit with a focus on cardiac monitoring and emergency response. Responsibilities include IV therapy, phlebotomy, and oxygen administration, while adhering to isolation precautions. The nurse will utilize the EPIC charting system for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to emergencies, including activation of Rapid Response and Code teams.
• Provide IV therapy and perform phlebotomy for patient care.
• Administer oxygen and manage non-invasive airway support.
• Maintain patient isolation protocols as needed.
• Document patient assessments and care using the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience

• Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in acute care within the last 6 months.
• Must have verified experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit.

Certifications/Licensure

• Must hold an active New York Single State RN license (NY is not Compact).
• BLS certification is required.
