This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
3x12 hour shift, 1900-0730. The nurse must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care to a diverse patient population, including patients who are boarded in the ER, telemetry patients, and those in medical-surgical units. The ability to float between different units as needed is essential, and the nurse may be assigned to charge responsibilities, especially on smaller units where staffing is limited. The documentation system used is EPIC.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient care for a variety of acuities within the medical-surgical and telemetry units.
- Coordinate staffing needs, bed flow, and general unit operations when serving as Charge Nurse.
- Implement isolation precautions and manage dysrhythmias as necessary.
- Utilize telemetry equipment and interpret dysrhythmias effectively.
- Provide care to adults and geriatrics with diverse medical needs.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Previous charge experience is required.
- Experience working within the United States healthcare system is mandatory.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current RN license in the State of Washington or a compact license.
- Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required.
