This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position requires night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with the potential for call during low census periods.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Telemetry and Med-Surg units, focusing on the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. The role may involve working with step-down patients and is responsible for utilizing EMR Meditech and administering medications using Omnicell and Alaris pumps.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient vitals and respond to telemetry alerts.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Document patient assessments and care plans in EMR Meditech.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care.

Required Experience

At least one year of experience in a Med-Surg or Telemetry unit is required. Step-down experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Certifications/Licensure

A valid RN license is required, and candidates must have a current BLS certification. Additional certifications in Telemetry are a plus.
