3x12 Nights (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend required, and holidays as scheduled.
Job Description
As a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit, you will be responsible for providing care to adult and geriatric patients. The unit supports interdisciplinary collaboration with teams including IV, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and more. You will utilize Epic as the charting system and may be required to float within similar specialties as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients in a medical-surgical setting, monitoring telemetry as needed.
- Administer medications and manage intravenous lines, including PCA and heparin protocols.
- Perform assessments and manage treatment plans, including high flow oxygen therapy and blood product administration.
- Utilize and manage equipment such as BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and wound vacs as necessary.
- Respond to rapid response and code situations, utilizing isolation precautions and PPE as needed.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required, including charge experience preferred.
- Experience with Epic charting system is necessary.
- Prior travel experience is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active RN license in Maryland or Compact license required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
- CPI certification is also required.
