Schedule/Shift
12 Hour Night Shift: 18:45 - 07:15, with requirements to work 2-3 weekends in a 6-week period.
Job Description
The 4th Floor of Novant Health Matthews Medical Center is a 40-bed Medical-Surgical unit focused on Bariatrics and Orthopedics, providing comprehensive inpatient care. The unit prioritizes exemplary customer service and patient care within a collegial environment, fostering strong relationships with physicians.
Responsibilities
- Maintain patient care in accordance with unit standards and protocols.
- Implement and manage telemetry monitoring for patients.
- Support interdisciplinary communication and collaboration through structured formats like SBAR.
- Assist in medication administration and patient education.
- Participate in rapid response situations when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with hand hygiene protocols.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
- Experience in telemetry is essential.
- First-time travelers are welcome.
Certifications/Licensure
- Required: BCLS, NIHSS, IV Start, and Telemetry certifications.
- Preferred: ACLS certification.
- Must pass EKG Testing prior to start.
- NC or Compact license pending is acceptable for submission.
