Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong competencies in phlebotomy and IV placement, as these are essential skills for this position. RNs will be expected to manage patients with a variety of diagnoses, including cardiac, pulmonary, GI, and infection issues.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in accordance with nursing standards.
- Monitor and interpret vital signs, and perform EKGs.
- Administer medications and IV therapy.
- Engage with Rapid Response Teams as necessary.
- Maintain proper isolation precautions when required.
Required Experience
1 year of recent nursing experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry setting is required.
Certifications / Licensure
- Current BLS certification.
- New York RN license is required in hand to submit.
- NIHSS certification preferred.
