Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse in the Neuro Med-Surg Tele specialty. This position requires a blend of specialized nursing skills and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Neuro Med-Surg/Telemetry unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing care plans accordingly.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Utilize continuous bedside EEG monitoring and telemetry as necessary.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience is required, with a focus on neurology. Candidates should have experience with CVA/acute stroke care and pre/post-neurosurgery care, as well as familiarity with spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries.

Certifications / Licensure

• Valid Maryland or compact RN license upon submission.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required.
• Basic EKG testing through Prophecy Relias and annual trauma/stroke continuing education are required.
• TCRN certification is preferred.
