Registered Nurse (RN) - Night 3x12-Hour Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 18:45 - 07:15, 3x12 Weekend Coverage: Every Other Weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care to adult and geriatric patients in an inpatient unit focused on stroke, TIA, and higher acuity medical-surgical patients. The unit emphasizes patient experience and has capabilities for peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, responses to treatment, and document findings.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Float to other units based on need and skill set, as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active TN RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience in a similar setting.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• At least 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR.
• Experience with handling patient ratios of 1:6.
