Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, working three 12-hour shifts. Required to work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.

Job Description

The Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) will work in a float pool position, requiring flexibility to float between departments and multiple facilities. This role demands strong critical thinking and adaptability to meet patient care needs across various settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in medical surgical and telemetry units.
• Monitor patient vitals and administer medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Educate patients and families regarding health management and discharge planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Arizona RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical surgical or telemetry setting.
• Experience with EMR systems, particularly Cerner, is preferred.
