Schedule/Shift
This position requires weekend availability and rotating shifts on a 3x12 hour schedule from 07:00 to 19:00.
Job Description
As a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit, you will be responsible for providing quality patient care to a diverse patient population, focusing on various medical conditions. You will be expected to perform assessments, develop care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes. Documentation will be completed using the Epic charting system.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and carry out physician orders in accordance with nursing protocols.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
- Monitor patient progress and respond swiftly to changes in condition.
- Utilize Epic charting system for accurate documentation.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including charge experience.
- Experience with patient ratios of 1:6.
- Travel experience is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Valid RN license (Compact license must be in hand at submission).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
