Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with rotating weekends.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit provides high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role involves assessing patient needs, implementing nursing interventions, and coordinating with the medical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Experience with EMR systems is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed assessments of patient health, including vital signs and symptoms.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop patient care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and respond to changing needs.
- Document patient care activities in the EMR system accurately.
Required Experience
Must have a minimum of one year of experience in a Med-Surg setting.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current RN license for the state of Mississippi.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
- NIHSS certification preferred.
