This position requires rotating shifts, working weekends, holidays, and on-call duties as necessary.

Job Description

The orthopedic unit specializes in orthopedic trauma, spinal surgery, and other elective orthopedic surgical diagnoses. As part of a department recognized for research and innovation, this role offers various opportunities for education and professional growth within an enthusiastic and team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the orthopedic unit.
• Monitor patient health and perform essential nursing tasks.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families regarding care plans and health management.
• Utilize telemetry and other monitoring systems as required.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of orthopedic nursing experience.
• Telemetry experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Valid RN license in New York.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
