Schedule/Shift
7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 36 guaranteed hours per week, working every other weekend for 24 hours.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide care in a critical care step-down unit with a focus on cardiac and pulmonary patients aged 18 and up. The unit features 22 beds and maintains a patient ratio of 4:1. Registered Nurses will utilize cardiac monitors and vital sign machines while documenting using the Meditech system.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
- Perform assessments and develop care plans in collaboration with other healthcare team members.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Provide patient education and support to patients and families.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care or step-down unit.
- Experience with post cardiac catheterization care and peritoneal dialysis is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
- BLS (Basic Life Support).
- Active RN license.
