36 hours per week | Night Shift 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM | Every other weekend required.
Job Description
Join our dynamic 21-bed Respiratory Med-Surg unit, specializing in the management and care of adult patients with pulmonary diseases. This high-acuity unit is designed for individuals requiring extensive medical and surgical care, including continuous telemetry monitoring. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment with a diverse patient population and rapid patient turnover.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult respiratory and medical-surgical patients.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and respond to changes in patient conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote high-quality patient outcomes.
- Float to similar Med-Surg units as needed, including areas such as Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders.
Required Experience
- Active RN license in Ohio.
- Current BLS certification.
- A minimum of 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience.
- Proven ability to read and interpret telemetry strips (competency test required on Day 1).
- Proficiency with Epic EMR is mandatory.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active Ohio RN license.
- Current BLS certification.
