This position requires a night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with alternating weekends.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care to patients in a Medical-Surgical unit, ensuring quality clinical care and patient safety. The role involves working with a diverse patient population and may require floating to other units as needed. Familiarity with Cerner as an electronic medical record (EMR) system is essential.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in Cerner.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop patient-centered care strategies.
- Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge planning.
Required Experience
Candidates must have active BLS certification and at least one year of nursing experience in a Medical-Surgical setting. Additionally, a permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
Certifications/Licensure
All candidates must possess a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama.
