Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a Medical-Surgical unit. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and implementing nursing interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The RN will work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver safe and effective treatment aligned with established protocols and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Medical-Surgical unit, including administering medications and treatments.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and changes in condition, reporting any significant findings to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in developing and modifying patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and upcoming procedures.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and adhere to nursing standards and protocols.

Required Experience

• Current RN licensure in the state of Tennessee.
• Previous experience in a Medical-Surgical setting preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Tennessee Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS and other relevant certifications are preferred.
