Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend (Saturday, Sunday), with flexible weekdays.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide care in a 28-bed Medical-Surgical unit, maintaining patient ratios of 5-6:1 during the day and 6:1 at night. The RN will utilize advanced technology, including Sara Steady, Wound Vac, Tele Health, Virtual Sitter equipment, and remote telemetry, while documenting in the Meditech system.
Responsibilities
- Perform strong patient assessments and effective communication with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and operate IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets.
- Conduct procedures such as IV and Foley catheter placements.
- Participate in BSSR and hourly rounding as part of patient experience protocols.
- Float between Medical-Surgical units as needed, on a PRN basis.
Required Experience
- Strong assessment skills and experience with IV Pumps and medication dispensing systems.
Certifications/Licensure
- BLS certification required; NIH and CPI preferred.
