This position offers 12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00, with weekly guaranteed hours of 36. Weekend requirements are every other weekend.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will work in the Medical-Surgical unit, providing care to adult and geriatric patients. This role involves collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team, utilizing the Meditech EHR for documentation, and advocating for patient needs. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality nursing care, monitoring vital signs, and performing various nursing procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical setting.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions and report significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Document all patient care activities accurately in Meditech.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical nursing role is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current RN license in North Carolina or eligibility for licensure.
- BLS certification is required.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification is preferred.
