ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical (Day Shift) in Wilson, North Carolina.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Weekly guaranteed hours: 36. Every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse position is located within the Medical-Surgical unit at Wilson Medical Center. This facility provides comprehensive services, including cancer care, cardiac care, orthopedics, and surgical services. The patient population includes adults and geriatric patients with various medical needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and administer medications as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Assist with a range of medical procedures and interventions.
• Document nursing assessments and care plans using MEDITECH EHR.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Float to other departments as required, including Telemetry and Emergency Department as a second nurse.

Required Experience

• Two years of nursing experience in a Medical-Surgical setting.
• Experience with MEDITECH is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS certification required.
• NIH Stroke certification preferred.
