Registered Nurse - Med-Surg Unit (Nights)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-Hour Night Shift. Typical schedule is 36 hours one week, 48 hours the next, plus up to 1 on-call.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Medical-Surgical Unit (MSU) serving adult geriatrics and pediatric patients. The unit offers excellent staffing ratios, focusing on quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a 20-bed medical surgical unit.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as per protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Assist in flu immunization clinics as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings and floating to other departments as qualified.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Three (3) years of Med-Surg experience.
• One (1) year of pediatric experience is required.
• Must be comfortable with both adult and pediatric patients.
• Certifications: American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
