Registered Nurse - MedSurg/General Surgery

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts available: 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Candidates must be willing to work weekends and participate in holiday and call rotations.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our MedSurg/General Surgery unit. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of three years of experience in a similar setting and possess the necessary certifications. This position requires a commitment to high-quality patient care as well as participation in emergency response during hurricane season.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the MedSurg/General Surgery unit.
• Care for a varied patient population, including those recovering from surgery and other medical conditions.
• Manage patient care including assessments, medication administration, and monitoring vital signs.
• Facilitate positive patient experience scores and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Participate in call rotation and respond to emergency situations as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• At least three years of nursing experience in a MedSurg/General Surgery setting.
• Prior charge experience preferred.
