Registered Nurse - Nights (Stepdown & Floor)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week; with requirements for weekends, call, and holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to work in a stepdown and floor setting. The unit consists of 31 beds, providing care for a diverse patient population including MedSurg, Cardiac, IDDM, COPD, Trauma, Ortho, ENT, and Urology cases. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, including the titration of drips as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients, including assessments, medication administration, and monitoring.
• Titrate intravenous medications and manage overall patient care in line with best practices.
• Perform approximately 10-12 patient turns daily to ensure comfort and care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, including charge nurses and RT staff, to enhance patient outcomes.
• Read and interpret telemetry strips; ensure adherence to safety and care protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license and within the scope of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory.
• Experience in a stepdown or telemetry unit is preferred.
