ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery (Day Shift) in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

12-hour shifts (06:45 - 19:15), with the requirement to work every other weekend.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work in the Labor and Delivery unit, providing care to pregnant patients from 14 weeks and above. The facility emphasizes safe and effective labor and delivery, including managing multiple drips and complex cases such as preterm labor and postpartum hemorrhages. The nurse will also circulate in the operating room for C-sections and administer epidurals.

Responsibilities

• Manage labor inductions and handle complicated cases, including IUFDs and multiple gestations.
• Administer medications including Pitocin, magnesium, and insulin.
• Provide resuscitation for infants as required.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EPIC system and manage medications through PYXIS.
• Float within Women's Services as required.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Ability to recover C-sections and circulate in the operating room.
• Experience with at least 400 births per month.

Certifications/Licensure

• BCLS certification required.
• AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced certification required.
• NRP certification required.
