Registered Nurse - High Risk Labor & Delivery

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift 4x12 hours (06:00 - 18:00) with a 36 or 48-hour option.

Job Description

Join our team in a High Risk Labor & Delivery Unit specializing in the care of laboring patients with high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia and diabetes for gestations 34 weeks and greater. You will be involved in managing C-Sections, External Cephalic Versions, and providing comprehensive postpartum care.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for laboring patients including monitoring and evaluating high-risk conditions.
• Assist in C-Sections and external cephalic versions.
• Administer medications and manage blood products as required.
• Conduct assessments and support with breastfeeding initiatives.
• Perform triage of obstetrical patients and provide patient education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a valid RN license in Kansas or a Compact RN license.
• 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery preferred.
• Certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Advanced and Intermediate preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
