Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience and the ability to effectively care for patients in a high-risk perinatal environment. As part of a dynamic team, you will provide comprehensive maternity services at a facility that includes a Level II NICU.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients in labor and delivery.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and manage patient care needs as per protocols.
• Support and educate families regarding perinatal care and breastfeeding.
• Assist in managing and mitigating high-risk deliveries.
• Float to postpartum as needed and assist in triage operations.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years experience in Labor and Delivery nursing. Experience in facilities with 100-200 deliveries annually is acceptable, but preference is given to those with 200+ deliveries.

Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
• AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring certification.
