L&D RN - Charge Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30), requiring weekend work every other weekend.

Job Description

As a Charge Nurse in Labor & Delivery, you will be expected to lead a team and coordinate patient care in a high-risk unit. You will handle responsibilities related to the oversight of nursing staff and delivery processes, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing staff in labor and delivery processes.
• Coordinate patient care for both low and high-risk deliveries.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Provide support and education to parents pre- and post-delivery.
• Maintain a sterile and safe environment in the delivery unit.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have Charge Nurse experience.
• Valid AK RN license required (must have in hand for auto offer).
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP.
• 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
