This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position requires working 36 hours per week, with 3 twelve-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in the Intensive Care Unit, providing care to critically ill patients, particularly those with neurological conditions. Responsibilities include monitoring patient statuses, administering medications, and using advanced medical equipment as necessary. The nurses will work alongside intensivists and support staff in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care for patients in the ICU.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions.
• Administer medications and titrate drips as required.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record (EPIC).

Required Experience

• Experience in an Intensive Care Unit is required.
• Critical care nursing experience is mandatory.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification for NCCU, MICU, SICU nurses.
