Schedule/Shift

Varied shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, with varied start times: 6 AM, 8 AM, 10 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM, and 6 PM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work within a Level II Trauma Center that is accredited as a STEMI Receiving Center and Stroke Receiving Center. The unit consists of 5 pods with 49 beds and a maximum patient-nurse ratio of 4:1. With annual visits totaling around 68,000, the nurse will serve a diverse patient population, including pediatrics, trauma cases, and emergencies related to STEMI and stroke.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Conduct assessments, develop patient care plans, and perform interventions.
• Utilize EPIC charting for accurate documentation of patient information.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Adhere to hospital policies and protocols while maintaining patient safety.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2+ years previous Emergency Room experience in a Level II trauma center or higher.
• Experience with pediatrics, trauma, STEMI, and stroke cases is essential.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current California RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Current TNCC certification required.
• Current ENPC certification preferred.
