Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with rotating weekends. No on-call required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The unit features 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, and specialized areas for behavioral health and Fast Track patients. All staff members are expected to work collaboratively, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and manage patient care in the emergency department.
• Handle emergency situations with efficiency and professionalism.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care.
• Assist in trauma procedures and patient stabilization.
• Document patient care accurately using MEDITECH EMR.

Required Experience

• Current RN license in Texas.
• Experience in emergency nursing or critical care settings.
• Competency in trauma management and resuscitation techniques.

Certifications/Licensure

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
• BLS (Basic Life Support).
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) & TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) are required.
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification preferred.
