Job Description

The Emergency Department at Riverside Community Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse. This unit has a capacity of 67 beds and is supported by a team of 225 staff members, which includes a mix of supervisors, charge nurses, certified nursing assistants, and multi-techs, ensuring comprehensive patient care. The department utilizes an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and focuses on providing immediate care for a variety of urgent and emergency needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department.
• Assist in the management of emergency situations, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Document patient care in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate patient treatment plans.
• Maintain a high degree of flexibility to adapt to changing patient acuity and census levels.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Room.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and CPI certifications are required.
