Schedule / Shift

12-hour evening shifts with rotating schedules. Shift times include 7a-7p, 7p-7a; 11a-11p, and 3p-3a.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment that handles a diverse patient population, providing critical and supportive care for both adult and pediatric patients. The department is equipped with various specialized units, and nurses will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a busy Emergency Department setting.
• Manage emergency situations efficiently and effectively.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor, assess, and document patients’ vital signs and medical history.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
• Supervise junior nursing staff and support staff on the unit.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in Emergency Nursing.
• AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications required; TNCC must be current.
• Experience with EPIC documentation system within the past 2 years is mandatory.
• Active NY state RN license or proof of application for licensure required.
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
