Job Description

Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital’s Emergency Department is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Traveler to provide direct patient care in a dynamic rural setting. The department is equipped to handle over 15,000 patient visits annually and offers a chance to work in a close-knit team environment, emphasizing professional growth and rewarding patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, prioritize, and deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute illnesses and emergencies.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, EMS personnel, and inpatient teams for coordinated care.
• Manage multiple patients' needs simultaneously and adapt to changing clinical situations efficiently.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes while adhering to hospital policies and standards.

Required Experience

• Minimum three years of Emergency Department RN experience.
• Experience caring for a broad range of patient populations and emergency conditions.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Vermont RN License or Compact Multi-State RN License.
• Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications.
• TNCC preferred.
• Familiarity with Meditech strongly preferred.
