Dialysis RN - 3x12-Hour Day Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shifts: 3x12 hours from 06:45 to 19:15. On-call required on Sundays from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Job Description

The Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) will provide essential care in an acute hemodialysis setting. The RN will manage patients with end-stage renal disease and acute kidney injuries, primarily focusing on hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis modalities. The RN is expected to float to other units when dialysis patients are not present and remain available to address any dialysis needs that may arise.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for individuals undergoing hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
• Manage patient assignments based on census levels.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs.
• Perform support tasks in other departments as needed.
• Participate in weekend rotation and be available for on-call duties.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute hemodialysis.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• CDN or CNN preferred.
• Experience with Fresenius and Baxter dialysis equipment.
