12-hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00, with guaranteed hours of 34.5 per week.
Job Description
This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) or Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU), responsible for managing fresh open heart cases on post-operative day zero in an acute care setting. The successful candidate will utilize the EPIC charting system.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the CVICU/CTICU.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions post-surgery.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately using the EPIC system.
Required Experience
- Must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Previous experience in a CVICU or CTICU setting is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active RN license.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
- NIHSS certification is also required.
