This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
This is a 4-day, 9.5-hour shift position, working from 7 AM to 5 PM, totaling 38 hours per week. The ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) on-call requirement is 10-12 shifts per month, including 1 to 2 weekends (Friday 5 PM - Monday 7 AM), which are counted as part of the total shifts.
Job Description
The Surgical Technologist will be responsible for assisting in surgical procedures, providing support to the surgical team, and ensuring a sterile environment. Candidates must have previous scrub experience to be eligible for this position.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by preparing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
- Ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are accounted for and in sterile condition.
- Support the surgical team by anticipating their needs and providing them with necessary instruments and supplies during surgery.
- Follow protocols to prevent infection and maintain a safe environment for patients.
Required Experience
- Must have scrub experience in surgical procedures.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
