Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working 36 hours per week with specific weekend requirements.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will be part of a dynamic team within a behavioral health unit focused on the care and recovery of adults facing mental health challenges, including addiction, depression, and anxiety. The nurse will utilize electronic health records (HCS) and Pyxis for medication management and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for patients including admissions, discharges, and shift assessments.
- Administer emergency and regular medications as required.
- Conduct evaluations using COWS and CIWA protocols.
- Respond to CODE Blues and manage violent situations with de-escalation techniques.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement effective treatment plans.
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Handle With Care (HWC) certification.
