Behavioral Health Registered Nurse

Schedule

This position is for night shifts, specifically 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including every other weekend and holidays as required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health nursing, with a requirement of at least 2 years of experience in the field and 1 year of travel nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and effective nursing care to adult patients in a behavioral health setting.
• Monitor patient behavior, medication administration, and overall health status.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive treatment plans.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and assist in crisis intervention when needed.
• Document patient interactions and care plans in an EMR system (EPIC).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a valid NC nursing license or multistate license.
• Current BLS and CPI certification (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention).
• Minimum 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience.
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience is required.
• Recent experience with EMR - EPIC is mandatory.
