Job Description
This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Behavioral Health unit, specializing in Psych care for adult patients. The unit includes 106 beds, with a patient ratio of 1:14. Nurses will utilize equipment such as code carts, EKGs, and vital machines, and documentation will be performed in Wellsky.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a behavioral health setting.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement treatment plans.
- Facilitate de-escalation and communication with patients exhibiting challenging behaviors.
- Float as needed from patient floors to admissions department.
Required Experience
- Must have an active RN License.
- At least 1 year of experience in Psych nursing preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current RN License.
- BLS certification (must be from AHA).
- CPI/HWC certification.
