3x12-Hour Day Shift (11:00 AM - 11:30 PM) with every other weekend required.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Float Pool will provide care across all 19 inpatient units, which include children, adolescents, and adult age groups. This role requires solid clinical judgment, assessment, delegation, and leadership skills. Nurses will be expected to float as needed and may assume charge duties without an additional pay bump.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a psychiatric setting.
- Perform assessments and develop care plans based on individual patient needs.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Sunrise EMR system.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
- At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current RN license in the state of Maryland.
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
