This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
Rotating shifts including two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts. Weekend hours required every other weekend as needed, with call rotations primarily involving weekends.
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. You will care for patients of all ages undergoing surgical procedures in a comprehensive surgical services department. This position requires a commitment to excellence in patient care and the ability to adapt within a fast-paced surgical setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to surgical patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient status and administer medications as needed.
- Document care and maintain accurate patient records within the Meditech electronic health record system.
- Participate in call rotations as scheduled.
Required Experience
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an Operating Room setting with orthopedic experience preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active RN license in Virginia.
- ACLS certification.
- BLS certification.
- NIHSS certification.
