Monday - Friday, 2:30pm - 11pm EST; holidays as per unit needs.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team at a Level 1 Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will operate the MRI machine efficiently, ensure patient comfort throughout the scanning procedure, and coordinate with physicians to guarantee timely results. Familiarity with medical terminology is crucial, and you should be prepared to stand for extended periods as required by the role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to ensure comfort.
• Insert IVs when necessary for the tests.
• Document all procedures while upholding patient confidentiality.
• Perform patient care tasks as needed.

Required Experience

• Two (2) years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Certifications/Licensure

• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• New York State Radiologic Technology license (must be obtained after starting).
• Injection Certification is required.
• Experience with GE MRI Scanners is mandatory.
