Job Description
We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our dynamic team at Strong Memorial Hospital. In this role, you will operate MRI equipment efficiently, ensure patient comfort throughout the scanning process, and collaborate with physicians to deliver diagnostic imaging results promptly. You will be expected to maintain a clean and safe scanning environment while adhering to all protocols and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
- Coordinate with physicians to provide timely diagnostic imaging.
- Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure comfort.
- Administer IVs as required for testing.
- Document all procedures, ensuring patient confidentiality.
- Perform patient care tasks as needed.
Required Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
- Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
Certifications/Licensure
- Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is preferred.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- New York State Radiologic Technologist license required; must be willing to obtain after starting.
- Injection certification is also required.
- Experience with GE scanners is a must for consideration.
