Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist specializing in stereotactic biopsies, breast interventions, and diagnostic exams. This role involves performing mammographic procedures adhering to state, federal, and departmental standards, while ensuring patient records are accurate and complete.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammographic examinations and breast biopsy procedures with precision.
• Practice universal precautions and ensure patient safety by obtaining two identification factors.
• Work independently and utilize strong critical thinking skills.
• Maintain a respectful and responsive relationship with patients and staff.
• Explain procedures clearly to patients, respecting cultural differences.
• Ensure all department processes and equipment are functioning optimally.
• Complete all necessary computer functions in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment.
• Assist in training and mentoring new team members or students.
• Adhere to all system requirements, policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Required Experience

• Current NJ DEP X-ray License
• ARRT verification in Mammography
• BLS certification
• 15 current Mammography CE credits
• 8 hours of documented training in 2D and 3D mammography
• Documented specific training in stereotactic biopsies
• Compliance with MQSA standards
