Job Description
The CT Technologist will be responsible for performing ultrasound diagnostic studies, obtaining patient history, and ensuring the comfort of patients during exams. The role involves the operation of ultrasound scanning equipment and conducting scanning procedures to capture high-quality images as per physician requests. Quality assurance practices and compliance with safety protocols are also essential responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Specialize in performing ultrasound diagnostic studies.
- Obtain patient history and explain standard procedures.
- Address patient concerns to ensure comfort and confidence.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound scanning equipment.
- Position patients and select appropriate transducers and machine settings.
- Conduct scanning procedures to capture requested images.
- Complete quality assurance processes and practice radiation safety.
- Comply with regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.
- Maintain all required documentation, logs, and records.
- Maintain an adequate supply of consumables for quality testing.
- Perform routine maintenance and function checks on imaging equipment.
- Assist other areas of radiology as assigned.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Required Experience
- 2+ years of CT experience.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced setting.
Certifications/Licensure
- ARRT certification.
- BLS (AHA) certification.
