Job Description
The CT Technologist is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatients and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist, following departmental protocols. This position focuses on routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures, including CT of the head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, and conducting biopsy/drainage procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures coherently.
- Administer contrast media as required for various studies.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the processing of CT systems.
- Conduct surgical/sterile procedures as necessary.
- Exhibit knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy pertinent to the role.
- Provide support in the Emergency Department (ED) and float as needed throughout the facility.
- Ability to initiate IVs for patients when required.
Required Experience
- AZ License and CT License required.
- BLS certification is mandatory.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current ARRT registration.
- State licensure as a general radiographer.
