Job Description
The Medical/Renal unit on the 6th Floor (617) of Metropolitan Methodist Hospital is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide exceptional patient care. As part of a team committed to serving the unique needs of each patient, you will play a vital role in enhancing their hospital experience. Your responsibilities will include performing patient assessments, implementing interventions, and managing various medical treatments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and implement appropriate interventions.
- Perform IV starts and therapy as required.
- Administer wound care and manage drainage devices.
- Handle central line management and blood product administration.
- Document patient care accurately in accordance with unit guidelines.
Required Experience
- At least 1 year of experience in medical-surgical nursing is preferred.
- Must have BLS certification.
Certifications/Licensure
Candidates must possess a current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse license and BLS certification.
