Schedule/Shift
Shifts are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, with call requirements from 5:30 PM – 7:00 AM during the week and 24-hour call coverage on weekends.
Job Description
The Endoscopy Technician will work in the Endoscopy Unit at Portsmouth Regional Hospital, which features 9 pre/post procedure beds and 4 procedure rooms. The role involves assisting in endoscopic procedures and providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist in endoscopic procedures including EGD, colonoscopies, ERCP, bronchoscopies, and others.
- Perform reprocessing of endoscopes and related equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment while following hospital policies.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to provide optimal patient care.
Required Experience
Must have at least 2 years of experience in a hospital setting, with specific experience in endoscopy.
Certifications/Licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Knowledge of Olympus endoscopes, Medivators, and leak testing is essential.
